Fund II, launched in 2025, targets construction-ready clean energy infrastructure across European markets in three areas: enabling integration and flexibility, securing clean energy supply, and supporting the decarbonisation of industry.
The predecessor Clean Energy Infrastructure Fund held its final close last year with more than €620 million in commitments plus €80 million of co-investment capital. According to Sosteneo, roughly three-quarters of that fund's 39 projects are now fully operational. Fund I began distributing income from operating assets to investors in the second quarter of 2026 and signed an agreement in the third quarter to sell an interest in an operating asset, its first partial realisation.
Umberto Tamburrino, Sosteneo's managing partner and chief executive, said Fund I's income distributions and first partial realisation are "further steps in the maturation of the portfolio", and that Fund I's progress provides "a strong foundation as we continue to develop the Sosteneo platform and deploy Fund II."
