Voltiq was founded in 2009 and advises on project financing, debt and equity raising and M&A, with sector expertise in solar, onshore and offshore wind, energy storage, hydrogen and transmission. Voltiq will continue to operate as a specialized advisory business under its own brand.
NORD/LB said the deal will strengthen its structured finance offering and allow the combined firms to offer structuring, arranging, lending, underwriting, strategic deal advisory and equity services.
Heiko Ludwig, NORD/LB's global head of structured finance, said Voltiq's specialist advisory expertise is "a natural extension of our long-established renewable energy financing capabilities."
